Fascism with a Human Face.

It is not so there are no certainties, it is that it is an absolute certainty that there are no certainties. It is not only true that the test of knowledge is an acute and cultivated awareness of how little one knows (as Socrates knew so well), it is true that the unbounded areas and fields of one's ignorance are now expanding in such a way, and at such velocity, as to make the contemplation of them almost fantastically beautiful.
Christopher Hitchens, Hitch 22 (p.420)

The Commander unzipped
the public spine of a taikonaut
and thrived therein;
a golden ticket ride aboard
the People’s Space Ship...

Galactic reconnaissance,
a brief Borneo sojourn,
collecting articles; Hunt and Gather.
Ultimate terminus, the legion landed
a Communist craft in Chile*.

Ladling out a teaspoon
of dark matter from his tooth
The Commander dolloped
dense tar obscurity;
boring a passageway thru the
centre Left of the failing world.

The embryonic sack of an Orang-utan
is stretched transversely over
an earthen exit wound - Spy Hole;
inquisitive homo sapiens peer thru,
avaricious lust-packed eyeballs
view the virus of revelation.

An abhorrent fallacy (Science)
supplanted religious witlessness,
this nasty model now usurped
by the horror of mental amplitude.

At the edge of the universe,
there was a mega-mind
projecting mass consciousness.
this interstellar thinker is familiar,
known to us all as ______;
an unpleasant cognizance
warped by astronomic experience.

Projecting actuality
a symptom of cosmic psychosis,
the chaotic degradation,
the continuum is understood.

Israeli and Iranian Weapons
of Mass Destruction
are deployed

( bombs blessed with zealotry and fanaticism )

Humankind desired a new mode
a new-fangled trail blazer (head)…
reality required a rethink.

superstition and scientific redundancy
humanoid diaspora universality.

  1. Wow man, you really ripped apart the crap that has been spouted about as excuse for all the big issues mankind does. That sack of the Orang-utan really went on the attack..haha

    Not sure on the certainty of uncertainty though. For if I eat something I'm certain at least some of it is going to get flushed..haha

  2. Hey Arron! Great job here. You have done a brilliant piece of writing describeing the face of Fascism. One that we're seeing all too much of these days!

    You've 'nailed' it!

  3. for truth i tell you the hokey pokey is what it is all about and in that i find certainty...hehe...nice story telling in this...i could follow even in the crazy visuals...the ladling out of dark matter from the tooth...yikes...and so we create boxes in which we can look and make sense of anything...

  4. Great quote from Hitchens--he always reminded me of a bitter William F Buckley, but he sounds more like Buckminster Fuller in that one. This builds tension slowly, seems to inject infinity with a demonic ignorance, and the intellect with the dark matter of a cancerous ego trip. I can't pick favorite lines--too many too good--but the ones Roger pulled are outstanding, as is the third stanza. Rockin' in the wild blue yonder, man, out past the heliopause where the skin is thin.

  5. Awesome job. Love how the quote above stays in mind as you read through. Love the variety of perspective/genre/politic/sensibility throughout. Another great piece. Thanks, great read

  10. Arron,
    I'm glad to see someone remembering Hitchens. His attitude and fearlessness will be much missed. I also appreciate Pound's statement on Vorticism. You certainly have gathered the energy in you writing today. Fascism always starts out as just a human face. That's what makes it so dangerous...
    I'm in the middle of reading Hugh Kenner's book, "The Pound Era." Fascinating and enlightening. I recommend it. It helps to have a copy of the Cantos at hand as well. One more thing...you had a compelling insight about the Israeli and Iranian nuclear weapons. The perfect(???) merging of science and old-time religion at the flashpoint of our little universe.

  11. This is awesome, Arron!

    My favorites:

    "avaricious lust-packed eyeballs
    view the virus of revelation"

    "superstition and scientific redundancy
    humanoid diaspora universality"

    Your brain blows me away.
